So, how do you know if a guy loves you?

I was sick today. I have not been feeling well lately. I have been getting physically sick, pretty often. I am not sure what is going on with my body, but I am rolling with the flow..... and NO... I am not pregnant. (MOM). So today, I was not feeling well at all. My butt was on fire. TMI, but I needed some cream. So, I broke down and asked Scott to go to the store for me. He did. I did not even have to ask him twice. Scott called me from the store, and asked,"so do you want the wipes too." Like Emili says, " He is the bestest boyfriend ever." So, how do you know if he loves you? Around five years ago, I had lunch with my Mom and my aunt Mary. My aunt Mary and Mom both said that they knew that their spouses would do anything for them. I was so surprised....at the time.... I could not believe that someone could be so good to a partner... never cheat, and always be there. I have had my share of bad relationships, but who knew hemorrhoid cream would make me love him more:) My aunt Gwen once told me a story about my Uncle Jack bending down and tying her shoe, and she knew he was the one. I am not sure if I would go that far, but hemorrhoid cream is a pretty close second. I have always wanted a relationship like my grandparents have. I am extremely lucky, I may have found it. BTW, my butt and heart feel better!

Driving

What a bunch of great days off. On Thursday morning, I went swimming and Scott met with me in Milwaukee. We left my car, and drove up to Lomira. Thursday was a bit tough, I had to ground Emili.... long story. I still feel bad about it all, but sometimes she needs a good grounding. Then on Thursday night I made a casserole and we watched some t.v. and slept. Then on Friday morning Emili and I headed to the farm at 5:30am. We took Pops to Milwaukee and then we visited at the farm a bit. Merc seemed a little better, but still had the cough. Emili and I then went back to Lomira and visited the wobbly hog. When we got home Scott was waiting for us, with fun. Scott and Emili played the Wii, while I took a little nap. Lauren then came home from work and Scott and I went back to Milwaukee. We had dinner with my Aunt Vicki and Dawn. We ate at Mo's in Wauwatosa. It was an Irish themed restaurant. We then went back to Vicki and Dawns and visited for awhile. We swapped work stories, and then we went back to the grove. We got home around 11:30pm. Scott fell asleep and I watched some t.v and then eventually fell asleep. We slept in today and got up, made supper, and came to work. Nothing to exciting. In the next few days, I will be getting ready for the trip.

Days off?

The above picture is Lake Louise in Canada... the next trip perhaps.

I am off this week Thursday and Friday. I will be doing some packing for the trip Japan. I will be going to Lomira in the morning, after Scott and I go the gym. We should arrive around 10am. Then we are going to be packing and cleaning, a little sleeping. Then on Friday morning, we are going to visit my grandparents, and Friday night it is back to MKE for a dinner with my Aunt Vicki and her girlfriend Dawn. Scott and I always have a great time with them. We always compare work stories and see who has the best stories. We are not sure where we are going to eat yet, but that is half of the adventure. I am thinking of Bucca's on the east side. Then on Saturday we will have to sleep so we can go back to work on Saturday night. I am sure it will be few nice days off. I have not had two days off in awhile, so this is a treat. It will almost seem like a vacation.... even though I have a big one coming up. Well, these days are going to be jammed packed until I leave.... wish me luck
possbile restaurant of choice.

Sleeping!!!

My favorite thing, as of late, happens to be sleeping. Scott and I spent our sweetest day sleeping. I went to bed at about 8:30am and woke up at 9:00pm. I can still do it(Mom). Just the idea of sleeping makes me think of my clean, crisp white bed. It makes me think of restful images of fluffy pillows, comfortable blankets, and pretty much doing nothing.

When I woke this evening, I could have stayed in bed all night long. Working third shift can really put a strain on your social life and your body. Scott is used to working straight third shift, but I am not. I have been working so much overtime, that I am usually up till 3pm. Then on days that I have to go to school, I have to get up at 3pm.... so I am all screwed up. I am not sure when to sleep and when to stay awake. This process has resulted in me sleeping as soon as my body starts to relax. I sit and Wham... my eyes are closed. The only release I have right now is exercise. I will be swimming in the morning, and then off to Lomira. I will see Emili today, and I will get some sleep. I am planning on getting some things ready for my trip.

Well, Sweet Dreams!

Kicking some butt

Today was an interesting day. I woke up at 4:30am and I am typing at 2:30am almost twenty-four hours later. I had to work 17 and 3/4 hours today.......nice overtime. We had a yearly training review for POSC.... principles of subject control. It was basically spraying OC and tactical handcuffing... stuff like that.

It was very interesting because I had to go to training where Scott works and I had training with his ex-girlfriend.Wow... what a physco and not cute. We all have been there, (dated someone would rather not admit...Stewart) LOL Lauren. Lauren, what about John Grande?... oh yeah...hot. Anyway it was very comical. I was sitting with my partner and he blurts out, "that girl over there is really phsyco". I then had to tell him that it was my boyfriends ex. He just chuckled.

I had a great time with my partner. He is a great guy:) He is currently going through a divorce. Please pray for him. The divorce has been hard on him and his children, but he is a strong guy and I am sure will be fine. Time heals all.

On another note, I had one day off and it was nice. Scott and I went shopping and we went out for dinner. We went to Applebees. The restaurant always reminds me of Emili when she said," I see the apples but where are the bees?" Then, Scott bought the new transformers movie, and watched it while I slept. We played the Wii earlier in the day, boy that was a work out. We were playing tennis and I was really sweating. I did not think that you could get a work out from a video game. I kicked Scott's butt in bowling, but he beat me in everything else.

Tomorrow is sweetest day. We are planning on spending some time together and going for a nice romantic walk. We will see how that pans out.

Relaxing and the Wii

Well,

I have been catching up on some sleep this week. I may have to work 16 hours again today, hopefully not. At any rate this week I have only had to work eight hour days, so it has been like a break. I only have one day off this week because I have some training to attend for work(on one of my days off). Anyway, we got the Wii today. Scott stood in line at Best Buy and got one. If he would have gotten there five minutes late they would have been sold out. That would have sucked. He and I are ready to play. Lets hope that we get some time to play this week. The Wii has Mario Brothers. This is really old video game. When I was growing up we played this game at my Dad's house. It was cool. Anyway, funny story... I do not recall a whole lot about my grandmother on my Dad's side. I remember her as a demanding women who smoked and drank a butt load of coffee. I remember one Christmas she just got Nintendo and was playing Super Mario Brothers, and one of my cousins tripped over the cord and ripped the cord out of the wall and it shut the game off. My grandmother was on the highest level and had almost completed it.......... and a black screen was all that was left. Well, needless to say my cousin lost half his hair, and could not sit for a few days. Good times:0 Anyway, that is my first memory of that game, and I am hoping to get to play it with Scott. I promise I will not rip any ones hair out. The other problem that I have with this gaming system, is that it is very interactive, and I am afraid that if we play golf, or boxing that I may put the controller through the TV.

PC mag had these as some reported accidents:

Crack in television
Hole in window
Wiimote-shaped dent in wall
Shattered 4-inch PDA screen
Severed blade from ceiling fan
Broken chair from Zelda fishing
Hole in mother-in-law's china cabinet
Four stitches in index finger
Black eye on girlfriend
Bruise on infant son's head

We will take our chances. I can't wait to play. Do not tell Scott, I am advocating a gaming system. I usally hate video games...

Shots, and not the good kind

I went to the doctor today and I had my yearly physical. I am healthy. I got a few shots, so my left arm is hurting tonight. I had to get a refill on my migraine meds for my trip. I did not want to be overseas with no medication. That would suck. Anyway, I got to swim for a few hours this morning. It was pure bliss....
Scott always laughs at me and wonders where my fins are. He always says, "whats wrong with you, how many hours can you stay in the water?" I could swim all day everyday. I think I have passed this on to Emili. At the beginning of the school year, Emili's teacher ask her class to draw a picture of what they did this summer. Emili drew her and I at the Lomira pool:) It is such a cute picture. She drew herself really brown and drew me in yellow. She is seen jumping off the end of the pier and I look like I am going to catch her. So cute. The picture is now on our refrigerator and reminds me of floating in the water and watching the clouds with her. When we were at the pool, we would wait for the the train that goes through Lomira, and then we knew it was time to float when we heard the whistle. We would then flip onto our back and watch the clouds until the train was done. It was kinda our thing. Emili got to be a pretty decent swimmer this summer. She is no longer a guppy. She can swim across the pool and back by herself. All her friends can not swim as well as she can. This summer was awesome, and I am hoping that next year I will still be cool enough to take her to the pool:)

PLAYING CATCH UP

Well,

The last couple of days have been really nice. I was playing catch up with some things. I got to see my grandparents on Wednesday, that was nice. Then Scott and I stopped at the yarn shop and visited with my mother and Betty. We came home and were pretty wiped out. We went to bed and of course where up in the middle of the night. Then it was more sleeping during the day, in order to get back on a third shift time. Emili and I got to spend some time together and she keeps wanting to put a black dress on Scott:) What a weirdo. Scott went home and picked up the fish that we had smoked. It turned out to not have any flavor at all, and we are getting out money back... after all the drama with the fish place. This morning I will be going swimming and then off to the doctor for my yearly physical. The Midrin will be coming to Japan.

I had to post this pic, one of my freinds sent it to me... funny stuff

SLEEPY and SALTY!!!

Well the energy drinks are not working anymore. Today I am very tired. I have been up for about 32 hours now... and counting. I will be going home in the morning and sleeping:) Class last night was pretty interesting. We learned about hypothesis testing, linear regression and Anova testing. I have had two stats classes in my undergrad work, but it seems to get easier. I guess I must be getting smarter. :):) Today I called my mom and got to talk with Emili(made my day). She was eating a jelly sandwich... only Emili. I think that she may have her Grandpas sweet tooth. Lauren and I both like salty snacks, such as chips, but Emili likes syrup and cake. Emili is such a happy little girl.... I miss her so. I will see her today. Scott and I will be relaxing in Lomira. I am planning on also getting some swimming in too.

Well till tommorrow.

LET ME OUT... I AM INNOCENT !!!

Well guess what. I just found out that I will be working another 16 hour day today. So that makes 72 for the week and I have to come back tonight at 11pm.... for a grand total of an 80 hour work week. I will not be sleeping today. I will be getting of work at 3pm and going to Target(to buy a change of underwear) and then to school, until I have to come back to work tonight at 11pm. Hopefully, I will be going home on Tuesday morning at 7am. Then on Tuesday we are going to take Emili fishing and Wednesday I am going to see my grandparents. That will be nice. Well at this point I am so feed up with my job that I could cry. I have barely had time to shower this week, so hopefully I can relax on Tuesday and Wednesday(that is if I get out of my prison..... ha ha!

the outside world????

Well,

My days have been comprised of living in prison. Yep that right, it feels like I am on "lockdown." I am working another 16 hour shift today. Anyone want my job? Like to administer first aid? Respond to a fight or a suicide attempt?Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to place yourself in the line of fire. Seeking excitement? Perhaps you will become the object of aggression and be personally attacked by someone who has nothing to lose. Yep that is what my days have consisted of so far. At least if I ever commit a crime, I will know what it feels like.

Scott and I have seen each other 12 hours in the last three days, and that was when one of us was sleeping. I am looking forward to having Tuesday off. Scott and I are going up to my house in Lomira. We are going to take little Emili fishing and we are planning on watching some movies. It will be really fun. I also will be finishing up some homework today when I get home.... loads of fun (research and stats). I am sure all this hard work will pay off....... I can tell you one thing..... it sure makes me value my family and friends. Till the next post

handcuffs, aunts, and long days

Well what can I say... another sixteen hour day at work. I relatively good day too. I have slept approximately fours hours in the last two days..... so if I seem incoherent, I am. Anyway, not a whole lot to talk about today. I have been really busy with work and school and am looking forward to venturing overseas to spend some time with my awesome aunt Mary.
On that note, my Aunt Mary is the bomb.com. She has always been the coolest aunt. Growing up my aunt always taught us the most interesting kid songs. Aunt Mary always brought her cultural-self everywhere. She even competed in swim competition meets with me.... Go All City!
It has been years since I have spent some "real" time with her, and I am very fortunate to go and visit her in Japan. I can't wait. If anyone needs anything while I am there, just e-mail me. Love you all... till the next post

  • Take this quiz, I thought it was cool, I found it while surfing on Lynda's(moms friend) blog.

  • ***Your Dominant Intelligence is Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence***
You are naturally athletic and coordinated, good at making your mind and body work together.Sports are fun and easy for you, especially those requiring good hand - eye coordination. There's also a good chance you're a great dancer, or good at expressing yourself through body language. You learn best by doing, and you feel like you've always got to be moving (even if it's just your hands). You would make a good athlete, physical education teaches, dancer, actor, firefighter, or artisan. What Kind of Intelligence Do You Have?http://www.blogthings.com/whatkindofintelligencedoyouhavequiz/

On another note, well Lauren has been getting on me about blogging. "Megan, you know you have not blogged all week...... what is up?" This statement made it sound like I was diseased for not blogging, and the consequences of not blogging would be a severe caning, or death. Well, I have been busy.... so back off..... I will post when I am ready.

The break down of communication in our society, is frankly sad. Now, I look for a post on a blog from my sister, mom and friends, rather than picking up the phone. Are we really going towards an age of no personal communication. I see kids today texting as it were a second secret language, when the person they are texting is right across the room. Get up and talk.Verbal words will not hurt you, in fact human interaction is the basis of life. Are you to dependent on your computer? Do you check e-mail as before you morning coffee? I was on vacation around two weeks ago, and did not have Internet access for a week...... let me tell you.. I am guilty. I am guilty of checking my e-mail and not going to see the people who make my life really important. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE... and for that... my apologies. Well enough ranting and raving. I will be spending the next four hours using my computer...:) :):)
