What a month

In our family the blogs have been lacking. Sorry for not blogging, but I have been all over the place. I am just happy to be home. I was in a place called palm island and I was in vegas. Lots to see and do, but system overload. Here are some pics from the adventures of the last few weeks. Pics of palm island, pics in vegas, pics of just stuff in general. The mermaid tail is for Emi.

Camping in Myakka State Park

We went camping this weekend in Myakka. Jamie joined us last night. Today Amber and I went kayaking with alligators along the Myakka river. It was interesting. We were planning on staying another night but we got rain here tonight. The sky was a pretty shade of purple and pink. The pictures of the sky were taken behind our place.

Happy Easter!

The bunny was here. He brought joy this Easter in many ways.
Hank is getting bigger and playing like crazy. He was so tired today that I had to carry him back to the truck:)
Amber has been busy working and hanging out with friends. The picture was at Seafood fest last weekend here.
I got an Easter lily from a friend and a basket from Amber. Today was a great day. I am finally feeling like this is home:)

Trust

Trust is defined by Webster as: reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence.
2. confident expectation of something; hope.

Some days are good and some days are bad. I lost trust in someone today that I loved more than life itself. I am hurting right now and feel like I was punched in the gut.

But life goes on... the sun will still come up in the morning and down at night. The world will not end.

I have to go back to my previous blog entry about chances and change.

You must constantly ask yourself these questions: Who am I around? What are they doing to me? What have they got me reading? What have they got me saying? Where do they have me going? What do they have me thinking? And most important, what do they have me becoming? Then ask yourself the big question: Is that okay? Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change.


Again, I am going into a major change but I know I will still be here and strong. If I have learned anything in my life.... it is that everything happens for a reason. We may not know the reason, but it in the hands of God and myself.

Lots of things

Lots of misc. things going on here. Amber has been working a lot. I took a job with the State and just a bunch of other stuff. It is raining here today for the first time in almost a month. Hence, the fact I am inside on the computer. I am really starting to feel like I have made it home. I am missing Emi J and Pops but other than that I am good. Have fun.

Leaving WI

I am leaving Wisconsin on Saturday. I will return to WI on the 20th and will b here until the morning of the 25th. I am looking foward to the the move:) I will miss my family. Here are some pics of Everett and Emili.

Casino Party

Last night was Dawn and Vicks annual casino party. Always lots of laughs.
We went early before all of the vices were done. A good time was had by all. I was glad to see some of my family before I leave. Here are some pics of the evening. Enjoy!

Moving crap

I guess you never realize how much crap you have until you have to move it. I started to pack my bathroom up tonight. I have so much stuff. I have a feeling that this more will be more work than I think. Oh well, at least it will be warm. Here is a pic of my bathroom mid-process.

Chances of change

As many of you know, Amber and I are moving to Florida. I know that this chance will be rewarding for both of us. The move has not come without some skepticism. I feel that there is always something more out there for each one of us. We just need to go out and find it. I have found a great life that will only get better with chances.

Blessings

I think the big guy upstairs has given me many blessings in the past few weeks. I have a new nephew. He came the day after Christmas. I also think the big guy is telling me I need to move. I have been in some sort of car incident three times in the past two weeks. I put my truck in the ditch. Someone I love put my truck in the ditch and I got in a scary accident last night. My truck is probably totaled. I am just glad to be alive. I am sure happy to have all the blessing I have in life, but some warm weather may help my spirits. Here are some pics.
